Palos Heights Cruise
The One Night Event Returns in 2016

Date: August 14, 2016

Harlem Avenue in the south suburbs is known for many things, including traffic. "Cruise Night" is not one of the terms that usually comes to mind. In Palos Heights, there is an exception made. Once a year, the street provides a path to view the show cars parked in front of the various businesses for their Cruise Night. The Cruise took place on Thursday, July 21.

Different from many other cruise nights, the organizer of this event takes advantage of Harlem Avenue being a main street. With co-operation of the businesses, they open their lots up for vehicle owners to park their show cars. The beauty of this setup is that there is so many eateries around to satisfy the hunger, including Bon a Pit Smoke House.

Car guru Jim Alleruzzo hosts this production that looks at a variety of cars from throughout the years. From a 65 Chevy, to a "Little Red Wagon," this show features it all! In addition, Jim goes inside one of the restaurants to take a small break from the action. The rain held off and a great night was held by all! To interact with AC Variety, Follow @ACvariety.
